We would like to express our gratitude to "Good Morning America" and "The cool down" for spreading the message that we don't need single use products and packaging around the house. Our mission is to help people cut costs and reduce waste while maintaining Nordic values of quality, function, sustainability, and design. One artful dishcloth at a time.

Our name comes from the root words "nord" which is short for "nordiska" or "nordic" and "hus" which means "house" in Swedish. We want to give you a chance to experience what a typical nordic home has to offer.

Focus on sustainability: Small changes in product size & weight lead to lower carbon emissions. We created Compact by Design to identify products that, while they may not always look very different, have a more efficient design. With the removal of excess air and water, products require less packaging and become more efficient to ship. At scale, these small differences in product size and weight lead to significant carbon emission reductions.
